Welcome to 5JM taught by Mrs Masterson from Monday to Thursday and Mr Humberstone on Fridays.

Things to remember:

Our P.E. days are Wednesday(outdoor) and Friday(indoor)

Bring your diaries into school daily and remember to read 3 times a week and have your diary signed, as this contributes to our Pupil Of The Week.

Don’t forget to learn your weekly spellings, which are tested on Friday and practise your Beat That.

Welcome back to the start of Summer Term!

In Year 5, we have lots of exciting learning to look forward to before taking the next step into Year 6.

Our topic for this term is ‘Romans’ where we will be closely investigating the famous Roman Armies, why they invaded Britain and finding out the impact of their invasion on our landscape in Britain today.

During this term will we also be lucky enough to visit York Museum on Friday 16th June where we can investigate remains found in and around York. We will also be taking part in Roman workshops and even have the opportunity to dress up as a real life Roman.

On Tuesday 9th of May it will be Year 5’s class assembly which will start at 9:05am – so we will hope so see you then.

Throughout the Summer term we will be will we be experiencing fun with forces in Science, as well as completing our Peace Garden, which we have enjoyed designing . Thanks to all of the grandparents who have kindly given up their valuable time to make some wonderful creations with their woodwork skills!

Lots of fun learning to look forward to! Keep checking this page to see updates and photographs of the children's work.
