Learning about Russia

Learning about Russia One of the European countries that we learnt about was Russia. A special visitor came into school and taught us lots of different information about Russia. We learnt the national anthem, how their alphabet is different to ours and some words in Russian. We also watched some traditional Russian dancing and the dancers looked like they were on skates as the dancers looked like they were floating on air. We also got to try a Russian soup called borscht. It was made with different vegetables, but it had lots of beetroot. Because of the beetroot, it was a bright pink colour. It tasted delicious!
