Sharing our Writing – 2SS and 1NR We have been learning all about different countries which make up the United Kingdom. We also learnt about the capital cities of these countries. Each class then created a fact file page all about their selected capital cities. Year 1 learnt about London and Belfast, Year 2 learnt about Edinburgh and Cardiff. We enjoyed learning about the different landmarks, popular foods and highlights in each city. Most of 2SS decided that they wouldn’t like to try haggis – the Scottish delicacy. Because we had all learnt about different cities, we then spent a morning sharing our work with another class. We shared our writing with 1NR, and they shared theirs with us. They taught us lots of facts about London that we didn’t know. One of the foods it is famous for are jellied eels – we didn’t want to try those either.
