This term we will be looking at heroes and villains and creating our very own superhero, which we will bring to life through the different curriculum areas including art, computing and Literacy.

In literacy, we will develop fantastic vocabulary and sentences which will grab the reader when they enjoy the different texts produced throughout the term.

In art we will look at different artists, their use of different styles and their influences when producing our characters.

In Computing, we will be Coding on the I Pads using Scratch Junior and Hopscotch. We will also use a new app called Strip Design. This will be used throughout the curriculum to record what we have discovered / learnt and finally produce a professional looking comic strip which will be published on the our school webpage and be placed in the school library for everyone to enjoy.

In Science and DT We will also be learning about how to keep ourselves healthy; from getting to know what we should eat to how we should look after our teeth. We will be investigating balanced diets and how our digestive system works and trying out gory experiments! Also, we will be learning more about our bodies when studying skeletons and muscles.

In PE / Games we will be focusing on net and wall games as well as athletics. This will link back into our Science investigations.

The children will make items to sell at the Garden Party. These will be based around Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

Finally, we will have a Topic Exhibition in school. Everyone will be welcome to share in the celebrating the good work produced by the children.

Please keep visiting our class pages throughout the term for more information.
